Nene inspires with words of wisdom

Oakhill staff, parents and the broader Knysna community were treated to a phenomenal talk last night by internationally-renowned presenter, Nene Molefi. With great insight and humour, she beautifully articulated many of the conscious and unconscious biases we may carry, across gender, race, age, ability or other spheres. Her message emphasised that every individual can contribute towards social cohesion.

She continued this morning by addressing all our College pupils, which was followed by the students’ active engagement in sessions discussing social, racial, gender and learning diversity.

The day was opened by Grade 8 pupil Mia Guccio, who wrote a phenomenal essay, titled “IF I WAS PRESIDENT FOR A DAY“.
