Our U14 hockey team had the opportunity to participate in the Independent Schools Hockey Festival last weekend at Bishops in Cape Town.
Similar to the festivals that Oakhill host each year, this event was not about podium positions, but rather served as an opportunity for teams to prepare for the season ahead and build a positive team spirit. Competing against top schools such as Bishops, Michaelhouse, St Andrew’s and St Alban’s, Oakhill’s boys thoroughly enjoyed their games and making new friends both on and off the field. They played five matches overall, winning four and losing only one.
