The Prep School was inspired and entertained at a fabulous assembly yesterday with fun science experiments done by Grade 6A. Foundation Phase children were keen to be involved and it sparked great interest.
The Grade 6 students brought these experiments back with them from their annual visit to the Science Festival in Grahamstown. Here they always have great fun and learn enormous amounts about science in all its forms. Scifest Africa offers more than 65 exhibitions and 706 events, presented by 328 contributors from 76 organisations in South Africa and six other countries!
The theme for Scifest 2017 was “Tour de Science” with reference to the UN-declared International Year for Sustainable Tourism for Development. The theme encouraged contributors to embark on a journey that explores the milestones, accomplishments, mysteries, discoveries, and the historic and exciting wonders of their field of science.
What a wonderful opportunity for all South African students!
