The current Grade 10s wrote the International Benchmark Tests (IBTs) in Mathematics and English while they were in Grade 9 in November 2018. These tests are set by the Australian Council for Educational Research and compares us to all the pupils who wrote this test in South Africa (around 4 000) and internationally (between 6 000 and 7 000). The South African Mathematics average is slightly lower than the international average, with the South African English average significantly higher than the international average.
