The Oakhill U13A Hockey Boys recently took part in the Grey Hockey Tournament. All the best playing hockey schools from around the Eastern Cape, including a provincial U13 team from Southern Free State took part in the 3 day tournament. The Oakhill boys were hosted by the Grey U13A team, which they formed a fantastic friendship with both on and off the hockey field. The Oakhill U13A boys played some exciting hockey on their way to finishing second in their pool setting up a semi-final showdown with the hosts, Grey PE. Even though it was the boys best performance, they unfortunately went down to Grey with the highlight being both teams appreciating the effort of one another by clapping each other off the field after the final whistle. Oakhill went on to win the bronze medal match, beating Southern Free State to clinch 3rd. It was once again an extremely well run festival and an awesome learning experience for the Oakhill Boys.
