Congratulations to our Matrics! The Class of 2019 has achieved some wonderful results, both individually and collectively. The 2019 group have produced their best set of results in the FET phase of school, earning 1.98 distinctions per candidate. Furthermore, 47 of the 48 candidates achieved a Bachelor Degree Pass, and one candidate a Diploma Pass.
Two matrics, Hanro Hay and Gabriela Kilzer, have achieved an IEB Commendable Achievement recognition certificate. This means that they each performed within the top 5% of candidates nationally in five subjects, and in addition earned an A in Life Orientation.
Our top achievers are listed below, but special mention must be made of Daniel van Zyl, Hanro Hay, Gabriela Kilzer and Jessica van Strijp. In the final exams, Daniel achieved eight distinctions, while Hanro, Gabriela and Jessica each achieved seven distinctions. They all leave their school careers behind them with the accolade of overall excellence. A number of other members of the grade achieved either one or two distinctions.

Advanced Programme Mathematics as an extra subject – Oakhill top achiever for Advanced Programme Mathematics. Hanro performed in the top 1% of candidates nationally in Afrikaans First Additional Language, Life Sciences and Physical Sciences.

The students who impressed the Drama Practical examiner were Trevor Gebhard and David van Heerden, and Gabriela Kilzer earned top honours for her Visual Arts Practical.
