Oakhill invites you to share a festive afternoon as we bid a fond farewell to our Head of School, Jannie de Villiers and his family.
Please join us on Wednesday, 4 December from 4pm for delicious food, drinks and music overlooking the lagoon. The afternoon will be a relaxed celebration in heartfelt appreciation of the De Villiers’ Family and their meaningful and positive contribution to Oakhill.
You are welcome to bring your own picnic baskets and drinks, or enjoy the fun-food-truck-fare on offer. For catering purposes it is essential that you pre-purchase your meal and/or drinks tickets from Reception or through Class Moms at the Tuckshop from Tuesday, 19 November until Monday, 2 December.
A food fair meal ticket of R50 will offer you a choice of either a delightful mezze picnic platter with a variety of snacks from Ningmo Foods, or a delicious pulled pork roll or a beef burger from the Jam Jar. When buying your ticket, please indicate your preference of meal for catering purposes. On the day, have your meal tickets ready to ensure that you can select your dinner.
Local wine from Luka Wine Farm and local craft beer from Red Bridge Brewing Company will also be onsite. Alcohol won’t be sold on the day but you can pre-purchase your wine/beer drinks tickets at R30 or bring your own. Wish Coffeewill be selling delicious cappuccinos or hot chocolatesand soft drinks will also be available for cash.
Brief formalities are scheduled for 17h30 and Lani Groves will delight guests with her music for the afternoon.
We look forward to our Oakhill families joining us to celebrate and pay tribute to Jannie for his warm-hearted, thoughtful and authentic leadership and wish the De Villiers’ Family a fond farewell.
