A number of Oakhill pupils recently took part in an orienteering event at Leisure Island. Orienteering aims to provide activities in a non-competitive environment that allow for skill development at a social and motivating level for people of all ages and abilities. It is a fun and useful skill that introduces map work, map symbols and control descriptions.
Well done to James Devine who finished 1st overall with a time of 25mins:22sec (competing against adults too!). Michael Hankins finished 2nd, 4 seconds behind James in the same category. Well done to all who participated!
Sincere thanks to Jo Tanner for capturing the fun.
