Oakhill played Rugby and Hockey against Grosvenor a school on tour from Ireland, and hosted 62 boys and girls for two nights. Not only was the sporting experience fantastic, but the relationships formed will undoubtedly last a lifetime. People say sport brings people together, well at the Oakhill Sports Campus Clubhouse on Tuesday 2nd August two nations came together through sport. The most magnificent evening was had by all, as almost 200 people descended on the clubhouse after evenly contested Hockey and Rugby matches. Oakhill won the 1st Girl’s Hockey match 3-1 and Grosvenor took the Rugby 17-0. The support at the OSC was absolutely fantastic and the crowd was treated to some serious entertainment. Knysna High played Grosvenor senior team who were a formidable unit, and joined in the festivities afterwards. Knysna High can be very proud of their pupils as they were fantastic guests and a pleasure to host.
Many of the Oakhill families who hosted the Grosvenor pupils wanted to adopt their guests….which I think says it all!
