Grade 3 Picassos

Oakhill’s very own Picassos! “ Unseen Portraits” the class had to close their eyes, feel their faces, draw what they had “felt” on their large piece of paper. Not worrying whether their eyes and noses were in the correct position! Some cheating more than others :) , this is what was achieved, I love the quirkiness.

World Book Day

Book Fair!
“Children should be drenched in words…”

What a lovely way to describe how we should be immersed in the world of books and reading!
The Prep School was lucky enough today to be read to, by Lynne from our travelling book fair. The suspense and anticipation was tangible and the way the story was left unfinished (a cliffhanger) enabled each child to imagine their own exciting yet appropriate conclusion to the story.
We have had a literature enriched week, let’s keep it up!

Grade 3 French Lesson

Bonjour!
Morning all

Friday brought a visit from a foreigner! We had Mrs Celliers popping in to teach us a little about France. We then spent the lesson trying to count to ten 10, greet each other and learning how to tell each other that we feel great! Comment ça va? Ça va bien!
Thank you Mrs Celliers for your time and we hope to be able to travel to such an exciting city one day!
