Oakhill is an independent school with a pioneering spirit whose purpose is to prepare children for the challenges facing them in a changing South Africa.

Located in a beautiful setting overlooking the Knysna Lagoon, the school caters for students from Grade 000 to Grade 12. We believe our students will be the role models and role players of the future and we have a responsibility to ensure that we prepare them for this exciting ever changing future.

Oakhill was established in 1991 by parents who wanted more for their children and its character and aims are shaped by all its stakeholders; the parents, the teachers and the children. It is a school alive – growing and changing as needs arise. It is a school where learning, thinking and enjoying are synonymous and excellence in Academic achievement is encouraged alongside excellence in Sport, Art, Drama and Music. All these areas are used to facilitate self-awareness and confidence in students as we encourage everyone in our community to enjoy the joy of the journey here.
